01 — The Book

Built from one student's exam, not a syllabus committee.

Most ICSE Computer Applications students learn Java by copying programs they don't understand. This book runs the opposite way: every chapter starts with the logic, then shows the code, then flags the exact mistake examiners deduct marks for.

01

Concept-first chapters

Sixteen chapters covering the full ICSE syllabus, each idea built on the one before it.

02

280+ worked programs

Real Java code with the reasoning shown, not just the final output.

03

10 board-style papers

Full-length practice matched to real exam format, structure and pacing.

04

Beyond the syllabus

A closing section for students who finish the book wanting more Computer Science.

Who it's for: Class 9 and 10 students studying ICSE Computer Applications, teachers who want classroom-ready material, and parents helping with revision without a programming background.

02 — Why This Book Exists

Not a syllabus rewrite. A record of what actually worked.

01

The Problem

Java felt like a list of code to copy, not a subject to understand. It worked, until the exam asked something the textbook hadn't shown.

02

The Turning Point

I stopped memorising and started asking why. Once the logic made sense, the code stopped needing to be memorised — I scored 97.6% in the ICSE 2025 board exam, including a perfect 100 in Computer Applications.

03

The Book

Think. Code. Score. is that method, in the order I wish someone had taught it to me. Every reader gets the shortcut I had to find on my own.

I didn't understand Java until I stopped trying to memorise it and started asking why it worked. — Vasishth Rungta, Author
